Forgive me for being ignorant but I just realized that the giant in the McDonald’s ad alongside Alden Richards is former PBA center Mark Andaya.
Hehe.
The eighth pick overall of the 2006 PBA Draft played in the PBA from 2006 to 2012. Andaya was selected ahead of Boyet Bautista and behind Aaron Aban. For the first time, the Letran Knights had three first rounders in the PBA Draft. Unfortunately, it was only Aban who had a productive PBA career as Bautista was gone after a season and Andaya went in and out of the league.
With that said, Andaya had a smashing acting debut. He played a boss inmate in OTJ wherein he feuded with almost basketball star Gerald Anderson.
And now he’s tasked to play an even bigger giant (he’s listed as 6’9) in promoting the McSavers Meals alongside the popular actor.
Yeah.
