2017 PBA Governors’ Cup Power Rankings Week 1

Welcome to the 2017 PBA Governors’ Cup Power Rankings!

San Miguel and TNT have yet to see action and with the strong squads resting… NLEX, Phoenix, and Meralco are seizing the opportunity. In four playdates, guys like Chris Newsome, Kevin Alas, and RJ Jazul are tearing it up. Alas has enjoyed a string of good games and I guess having Larry Fonacier as mentor helped his cause. Ditto for Jazul, who has increased his production after getting shipped to Phoenix for Simon Enciso.

But while the two former Letran Knights are doing well in this span, Chris Newsome could be a Best Player candidate.

Here are their averages for Week 1.
