Site News: Gilas Pilipinas Fever

So I’m feeling the effects of Gilas Pilipinas right now and I must say, Terrence Romeo and his assassin’s mentality really made up for their almost defeat.

There were a lot of takeaways from that China game. The Andray Blatche play where the big man dribbles the ball from the outside to the rim sucks. Japeth Aguilar tried it. So did Christian Standhardinger. And lest not forget Raymond Almazan. They all fumbled. Also, the fact that Guo Ailun had four fouls in the first half meant our lightning-quick guards spelled the difference. Terrence Romeo turned it up and Jayson Castro is his usual self.

Well, maybe Jio Jalalon needs to settle down.

Jalalon woke Guo Ailun up when he entered the game.

Anywho, I did a couple of blogs, they are great, and I’m F’N bias.

I’m especially glad that I got shout outs from Mark Andaya and Dean Labayen.

First up, Mark Andaya saw the article I made for him. The 6’7 giant who helped the Letran Knights dominate the NCAA in mid-2000s had an ad with Alden Richards where he played an old movie giant with fast food fetish. Anyway, he thanked me and while I don’t deserve it… it was awesome.

And then I got a shout out from former Negros Slasher Dean Labayen. He wants to state the reason why he never played in the PBA. I know the MBA has been gone for nearly two decades but the league pressured the PBA to evolve.

Maybe I can get exclusives here?

Yeah!

My site is still a work in progress.
