Terrible news for Gilas Pilipinas fans as June Mar Fajardo and Gabe Norwood will not play in the coming FIBA Asia Cup.
We already lost Andray Blatche to personal reasons.

This could have been Fajardo’s breakout party as he is going to be the focal point of Gilas’ interior. The last time he played in the FIBA Asia Cup, The Kraken just had three points in seven games! This should have been his vindication!!!
Norwood is also expected to display his awesome perimeter defense on our foes. This is his fifth FIBA Asia campaign and he wants to give the country its best finish.
But yeah this development sucks.

Norwood is 100 percent healthy and hellbent to play for pride and honor. I guess we should be ecstatic because he’s going to be in Beirut.

So with the Norwood issue settled, can we even change our roster? If you check out the FIBA website, their names are already there. Aside from having just Japeth Aguilar, Almazan, Carl Bryan Cruz, and Christian Standhardinger at the frontline… Gilas Pilipinas is now limited to eleven men!
